Announcing our new CEO

We are really pleased to announce that Martin Paech has been appointed as our new CEO of Community Resources.

Martin has been a key part of our team since March 2024 and brings a deep understanding of our work, our people and the communities we serve. His appointment supports our purpose of creating opportunities and promoting leadership from within. It also ensures stability and continuity as we move forward.

We have worked closely with Martin as Acting CEO for the past few months. We have experienced Martin's ability to manage complexity, develop and implement new initiatives, listen and learn, and work constructively with both his teams and the Board. He has demonstrated an absolute commitment to our mission – a dedication to people and planet, whilst growing our financial sustainability. Martin will continue to lead with the values and commitment that define us.

Martin Paech

CEO

Martin brings extensive commercial experience and a deep commitment to social justice to Community Resources.

He holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Adelaide and has held senior operational roles, including as Chief Operating Officer at CR. Martin has also served on the board of a women’s shelter, and continues to volunteer with local outreach programs.

His values of compassion, inclusion, connection and a safe and just working environment align strongly with CR’s purpose. With his unique blend of business experience and community focus, Martin is well-placed to guide CR’s long-term sustainability while deepening our impact for people and planet. 

Outside work, Martin loves walking in the bush, travelling, reading, being with his family and sharing food and philosophical discussions with friends.

We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of Australia and recognise the continuing connection to land, waters and culture. We pay our respects to Elders past and present. We walk together towards healing.
